June 5 – Spring Skies
Navigate your way through what's up in the spring in this live, guided tour of the night sky. Learn to find stars, constellations, planets, and other far out objects (such as nebulae and even galaxies) with imagery from telescopes like Hubble. A traditional planetarium experience with a modern kick of technology, this show will help you explore the night sky from your own backyard.
June 12 – Aliens
As a human species, we have long felt we are not alone. From UFO sightings to abduction reports, some believe that extraterrestrial life not only exists within our galaxy but potentially even our own backyard. Are aliens real? If they are, where would we find them? Why do they insist on ruining our crops with their circles? Join the INTUITIVE® Planetarium staff as we explore the possibilities of intelligent life beyond our solar system!
June 19 – Juneteenth Through the Cosmos
Celebrate Juneteenth through a cosmic lens to celebrate freedom, resilience, and discovery under the same stars. This immersive show traces the Black Diaspora’s enduring relationship with the night sky – looking from ancient African sky–watching cultures, modern Black American astronomers, hidden figures in STEAM, and visionary movements like Afrofuturism that imagine liberated futures among the stars.
June 26 – The Sky is Falling!
An asteroid destroyed the dinosaurs over 65 million years ago, but asteroids are more than just Earth–enders. These chunks of rock are the remnant building blocks of our planets. Explore these tiny worlds with the INTUITIVE® Planetarium team and discover how they help us understand the origins of our solar system and ways to protect our future, looking from our earliest findings to the flagship Vera C. Rubin Observatory.
July 3 – Things That go Bang
From brilliant bursts of light to catastrophic cosmic collisions, the universe is anything but quiet. Join the INTUITIVE® Planetarium team as we journey through the most explosive events in space: supernovae marking the death of massive stars; planets smashing together in the early solar system; Coronal Mass Ejections; and everything in between. These fireworks across our universe don’t just dazzle, they forge elements, reshape galaxies, and help build the very universe we live in.
July 10 – Summer Skies
Navigate your way through what's up this summer in this live, guided tour of the night sky. Learn to find stars, constellations, planets, and other far out objects (such as nebulae and even galaxies) with imagery from telescopes like Hubble. A traditional planetarium experience with a modern kick of technology, this show will help you explore the night sky from your own backyard.
July 17 – JWST 4 Year Science Anniversary
Discover the furthermost reaches of the universe as revealed by the James Webb Space Telescope, the most powerful telescope ever built. Join us as we explore four years' worth of image highlights, from the first images released to our latest favorites. Witness the evolution of galaxies, the life cycle of stars, and strange and distant worlds!
July 24 – Hot topic
Think you know what "hot" means? Step into the INTUITIVE® Planetarium and discover just how extreme heat can get in the cosmos. From boiling gas giants to burning stars and bubbling nebulae, we’ll explore what truly sizzles in the universe. In astronomy, even "cold" can mean thousands of degrees, so what does it take to be hot? Stay cool while your mind heats up with Hot Topic.
July 31 – Habitable Worlds around Dead Stars: featuring Andrew Vanderburg from the Harvard CFA
Could habitable planets exist in stellar systems after the star itself has died? Join the INTUITIVE® Planetarium team along with special guest Andrew Vanderburg as we journey through the stellar lifecycle and the worlds that may persist beyond.
Please check back in regularly as the INTUITIVE® Planetarium team hosts Cocktails and Cosmos every Friday and will regularly update new show topics! Please note that each show is produced in-house and is unique every week.
