Overview
Parks & Recreation will host an African American Art Festival in celebration of Black History Month in February.
The inspiring exhibit will be displayed Saturday, Feb. 21, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Dr. Robert Shurney Legacy Center, 3011-A Sparkman Dr NW. The free event will feature local artists and their works.
The all-ages event will include creative learning and community connection. Kids will have the chance to participate in interactive art activities, including digital art experiences.
Other features include artist interviews and discussions that give attendees an opportunity to learn more about the creative process and the stories behind the work.
