An Elegant Afternoon Tea Inspired by Edgar Allan Poe
Say “nevermore!” to a boring winter afternoon as you step beneath the Garden’s Conservatory dome to indulge in a taste of the macabre. An ode to the birth month, legacy, and timeless works of Edgar Allan Poe, with particular homage to The Tell-Tale Heart, this afternoon tea is steeped in quiet mystery. Wrapped in the stillness of the winter landscape, guests are invited into a warm indoor escape shaped by whispers of gothic ambiance and literary inspiration.
Guests will savor a curated selection of Piper & Leaf artisan teas paired with a winter-inspired menu of finger sandwiches and darkly refined confections, thoughtfully composed to echo Poe’s palette of depth and shadow. A quietly moody photo vignette invites guests to preserve the moment in quiet reverie.
This intimate gathering welcomes just 50 guests to share conversation, ambiance, and the hushed beauty of the Conservatory in winter, where the atmosphere itself seems to lean in and listen.
Reserve your place now—a gothic tea in the Conservatory awaits.
